I keep receiving calls from a company called Lowells, who also seem to operate under the name Hamiltons. It's baffling really, as I keep getting bombarded by calls from various numbers linked to them, all about an individual I've never heard of-someone who's never lived at my address nor ever had any contact with me. My phone number is ex-directory and I’ve registered with the Telephone Preference Service as well. When I've taken the time to tell them to cease these calls and provided the name of the so-called debtor they've asked for, pointing out that this person is not associated with my address, they claim they can’t take my details off their system due to data protection laws. Excuse me, what about my own rights to data privacy, Lowells?! The frustrating part is, they simply refuse to stop calling. I've asked them to quit dozens of times over the past two or three years, and yet the incessant calls persist-sometimes ringing multiple times a day, other times several days a week. As others have noted, it seems they mirror calls from other entities known as Hamiltons. They use a multitude of telephone numbers, so as soon as I block one, another pops up in its place. The moment I answer and make even the faintest sound, an automated message starts playing. It’s the same message every time, with the same recorded voice, and they ask for either of two completely unfamiliar names-dozens of calls for both, mind you. They prompt you to press a button if you're not the person they’re after. I suspect this could lead to a pricey call, but I’m not foolish enough to try it. If you keep silent when you answer, the line stays quiet, which seems to fall under the Malicious Communications Act, in my opinion. These absolute charlatans are nothing short of harassers, causing me significant distress and frustration. They make up a staggering 90%-95% of my incoming calls, so much so that I’ve given up answering my landline altogether.

It appears that the Lowell Group operates as a debt recovery agency in Leeds, and they are known to utilise a handful of different phone numbers, including around ten to twelve. Notably, I've received text messages from 01133086104 and 01133086169 - both are linked to the same office. Additionally, it seems that Hamptons Legal is involved in purchasing minor debts that are too insignificant for legal action, resulting in persistent harassment of individuals. My advice? Simply disregard their attempts; they wield no real authority and often try to intimidate those who may be more susceptible. Be prepared for calls at any hour as they seem relentless in their approach.

My mobile and home phone just won't stop ringing, it drives me absolutely mad! Grrrr!
