Got a bloke on the phone claiming to be from the FCA, said I had £1850 waiting to be refunded from some claim. Then he mentioned I needed to sort an £850 tax payment but could dodge it if I made an investment. He even offered to help me put in a tiny amount, like £30 to £40. I wasn’t having any of it and just ended the call straight away!

Got called by someone selling PPI claims, total scam alert!

Got a call about a PPI claim and they told me the fee was 35%, plus another 25% on tax. Initially, they quoted £1850, but then it dropped to £875. After that, they mentioned I could chat with their manager to maybe get a better deal!
