I received a curious phone call purportedly from Microsoft, claiming there was a problem with a personal computer. They were looking for someone else - not me, mind you. When I told them there was no one by that name here, they accused me of being dishonest. Things escalated, and as I refused to engage in a debate over the phone, they resorted to calling me thick. I stood my ground, insisting I wouldn't be duped by a con artist, and that's when they dropped the bomb, calling me a numpty. Upon checking the phone number online, there were no traces of it whatsoever, which strongly suggests it's either a fraudulent or spoofed number.
