I got a recorded message claiming there’s some kind of probe going on near the northern border of Wales and that my National Insurance number showed suspicious activity. It told me to press 1 to talk to an investigator or else I’d face legal trouble. I actually had the same voicemail about two days earlier. This all came through on my work phone, not my personal one, so there’s no way they could’ve known any of my NINO details from that. Be careful and don’t press any buttons to contact them. Best just to block the number and avoid any hassle.
