Yesterday, someone named Neil Metcafe phoned the military museum where I volunteer, asking for personal details of two high-ranking RAF officers. One of them is actually the Chief of the Air Force, who’s due to be promoted to Chief of Defence Staff, basically the highest-ranking military official in the UK. Of course, we don’t have access to that kind of info and I definitely wouldn’t hand it over to just anyone. The number he called from was 07900 158869, but couldn’t track it down. Pretty shocking that scammers are now going after even our top military figures!
