I never got a call from this number, 07899 039490, but they did text me on WhatsApp. First, they asked if I was working today, then followed up asking if I was busy. Later, they introduced themselves as from Alliance Recruitment and said they had part-time remote jobs available, offering to send me a list. It felt a bit dodgy since they didn’t say who they were upfront and seemed quite pushy. I just ignored the messages after that.

Just got a call claiming to be from Amazon sayin there was some strange activity on my debit card. They told me to press 1 or 2 for options. Honestly, I didn't want to risk it, no idea what they would've done if I pressed anything. Pretty dodgy if you ask me.

Got a call earlier today from someone claiming to be with British Gas. He asked me to verify my address and postcode, which I refused to do. I then asked him to prove he was really from British Gas by giving me my account number, but he just hung up straight away! Pretty clear to me it was some kind of scam.

this bloke rang claiming to be from british gas and started asking me who my current energy supplier was. when i asked how he got my phone number, he just said it was his job to keep going with the call and since it was good friday i might as well listen. i told him he was doing something illegal but he insisted he wasn’t. honestly, my advice is just to end the call right away, these people are clearly scammers, just not the cleverest ones.
