I got a call from someone claiming to be from the visa office in London. They sounded pretty confident and actually knew my full name. They said there were two charges of £249 for a phone purchase in Bangladesh on my account and wanted to confirm if it was me. I told them I don’t even have a visa card, only a Mastercard, then they tried to say Mastercard is their parent company or something. I quickly told them banks never ring up about fraud like that and accused them of being scammers before ending the call and saying I’d report them.
