Got a call from a posh American woman saying I owed taxes and if I didn’t pay, there’d be legal trouble. Then she told me to ‘Press 1 for more info’. Nah, I’m not daft enough to press that. Still, I reckon people who don’t know better might get scared stiff by a call like that. I found it pretty laughable myself, but it’s nasty how these scammers prey on folks. I always sort my tax stuff with HMRC, but honestly, it’s shocking how brazen these con artists can be, hoping to swindle cash out of us.
