Got a call from someone saying they were with HMRC, telling me I needed to pay £897 straight away or else I'd end up in court facing 4-5 years inside. When I asked for proof of who they were, she started going on about how I was accusing her unfairly and that she wasn’t some customer service rep but a serious court official. Said I had no choice but to pay or deal with them in court. Total nonsense, clearly a scam. With April around the corner, watch out for this one!
