Got a call on my home phone from someone saying they were with Microsoft and needed to fix some malware on my PC. The guy spoke quite clearly but had a bit of an accent, maybe Asian or African. When I told him I wasn’t interested, he got annoyed and started yelling about blocking my computer and that I’d have to travel all the way to Reading to sort it out. Then he hung up after I said I’d inform my IT team. This kind of call feels like pure harassment, especially for older folks or anyone not great with computers.
