I picked up and this strange robotic voice claimed the call was from HMRC’s investigation unit. Don’t share any info or follow any links they send you. It’s definitely a scam aimed at stealing your cash. Stay careful, folks!

Got a call from someone called Gordon claiming to be from BT, but he said he also worked for places like Talktalk, HMRC and Openreach all at once, trying to 'fix' my wifi. When I asked how he managed to be with so many firms at the same time, he just cut me off. Proper dodgy lads, honestly.

Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent claiming to be from BT. He said my broadband was running at an unusually high speed and suggested my connection might have been hacked and used for dodgy stuff. Could hear loads of noise in the background, sounded like a call centre. I told him I'd get in touch with my actual provider to sort it out. I’m not a BT customer, and judging by all the other comments, this number really should be blacklisted by the major phone companies, not just by independent users. Report it to your phone company. BLOCKED.

Seems like they’re really pushing hard today, got a pretty pushy one from BT when I shut him down straight away. My sister got similar call earlier too. Plus, we both got a voicemail from HMRC threatening legal action - that number was 01618509442. What a mess!

Got a call from this number claiming to be BT, saying our computer was under attack and they needed remote access. I kept ending the call but they kept ringing back. I ended up having a full blown row with them because I didn’t trust a single thing they said. The caller was really pushy, quite scary and rude. Eventually, they threatened to cut off our internet, so I just ended the call. What really worries me is this happened at my granddad’s place and I reckon he’d have been in trouble if I hadn’t been around.

I've had four calls just this morning from someone saying they were from BT. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the fault I reported last week on my father in law’s BT connection? I got a call from someone claiming to be from a national call blocking service connected to the TPS. They started reading out my name, address, and phone number which seemed like it was for a recorded message. I tried to say I didn't want to sign up for any paid services, but they cut me off and hung up before I could finish. The caller didn't sound British and I'm guessing this number might be used as a front for various scams.
