My partner answered a call from someone saying they were from Amazon, saying someone tried to buy a gift card on his account. The caller kept asking what kind of device was used to access the Amazon account. He got suspicious and said he’d check with someone who knows more about this stuff. By the time I picked up the phone, the caller had already gone. Looks like they were following a script and were probably gearing up to ask for login info or bank details. They rang our landline, but that number has never been linked to the Amazon account.
