Got a message from +447898485692 claiming to be PayPal, but the link they sent looked pretty suspicious. I checked my PayPal on my laptop using their usual text code for security, and everything seemed normal there. Seems like a scam, especially after reading the other replies here.

Just got another text claiming to be from paypal-user-id200[###]. Checked out the site using whois and saw the registrar listed as webnic.cc. Honestly, makes me wonder if paypal’s actually operating out of the cocos islands or something. Seems pretty sketchy to me.

I reckon this number is connected to some dodgy scammers like 07466397298 and 07438792578. Heard it's also tied up with drugs and even grooming gangs over in Rochdale. Watch out!

This number might pop up as +447898485692 on your phone. I've seen others say they've gotten a dodgy text from it saying something like: "paypal: we've restricted your account because of suspicious activity. please visit: [#paypal-user-id200[###] to restore full access." The link in the message is exactly what someone else mentioned too. I checked my account by going straight to PayPal’s official site, not using that link, and everything was fine. So it’s pretty clear this text is a scam. I wouldn’t recommend clicking on the link - it’s probably some kind of phishing trick.

I got a message saying it was from PayPal, saying my account was restricted because of some suspicious stuff. They wanted me to click on a link to sort it out and get back into my account. Felt a bit off to me.
