A lady named Sarah, who struggled a bit with her English, managed to ask for me directly by name-quite unnerving, really. She possessed my full name and postcode, which only added to my unease. Then she launched into a spiel about supposed fraudulent activity linked to my bank account with NatWest. Here’s the kicker: I’ve never even had an account with them! When I pointed this out, she insisted I must have one and pressed for the name of my actual bank, suggesting perhaps her information could be inaccurate. I firmly told her that it was not her concern, which led to her abruptly hanging up. Of course, I took the precaution of calling my bank to clarify things.
