Today I got a call from a lady who said she was with Amazon, asking if I'd bought a £249 gift card. I just ended the call straight away. A few months back, I had a similar call but this time a bloke claiming to be from the Amazon fraud team. He told me that my account had been hacked by people in two different countries. He even asked me for a 4-digit code that Amazon supposedly sent me. I told my husband about it straight away and he said it was definitely a scam. The guy got proper angry, kept shouting “mam, please give me the code,” but I just hung up.
