I've just had the dubious pleasure of receiving a call from this number, which turned out to be a scam claiming to be from HMRC. It starts with a pre-recorded message asserting that I'm somehow wanted for unpaid taxes-absolute nonsense! Just a heads-up: the actual HMRC would never resort to such tactics. Do yourself a favour and just block this number; it's definitely not worth your time!

Got a call from this number, and it was one of those recorded messages saying I owed tax and was wanted by HMRC. Just to be clear, HMRC wouldn’t ever handle things like this on the phone with a robo-voice. Best thing is to just hang up and if you’re concerned, look up the official HMRC number on their website and reach out to them directly. Definitely a scam, so don’t fall for it!
