I got a call from someone claiming to be from a conveyancing firm. After I mentioned that my house purchase was already handled, they quickly moved on to talk about life insurance and mortgage protection. They said I probably had a good deal but wanted to offer a free check to see if I could get a better price. I told them I was busy at work and wasn't interested. The caller seemed polite, but I couldn’t quite catch the name of their company, and whenever I asked, they just wouldn’t repeat it.
