On the 24th November 2023, I missed a call. This isn’t the first time I’ve had calls like this, and I’m certain it won’t be the last. It all began not long after I was checking out a small electric heater online from a YouTube ad. I never actually bought it, but I did start filling in the order form with my details - luckily, I didn’t enter my card info, just my name, phone, and email. Even without completing the purchase, I started getting emails from the seller. Once those emails stopped, the calls started rolling in from all sorts of different numbers. I have my number registered with the TPS (Telephone Preference Service), but these callers clearly don’t care, which makes me think they’re just scammers. Now, I just ignore and block any unknown numbers that I’m not expecting.
