I got a message on my phone claiming to be from my bank (though it was a text, so couldn’t tell if it was a guy or a girl). It mentioned which bank I use and that I had called about cancelling a card transaction just about ten minutes ago. The text said my card had been blocked and told me to ring 0203 909 67 86, a number that turns up in scam reports. Seems like this number is linked to a dodgy call centre agent. I’ve checked and this phone is on the TPS register.
