Just stumbled upon your initial message here after getting a text from the same number. My bank (keeping it hush-hush for privacy reasons) has always said they never send personalised texts. Thus, I find it rather baffling to receive a message asserting that two out of three payments went through, while one was turned down. It’s quite clear to me that banks don’t communicate via text! I trust this info will be of assistance to others, though I’m still left in the lurch trying to fathom how my number ended up in the hands of an unknown individual associated with the number I checked on your site. Is there anyone out there with a clue on how to tackle this situation, beyond simply blocking it? And is it wise to actually call that number?

Just received a dodgy text from this number a mere quarter of an hour ago. It claimed to be from NatWest, alerting me about some questionable activities linked to my account. They asked for my bank details to confirm my identity. Quite the cunning ruse! Thankfully, I don’t actually have an account with them. Total scam!

I got a message indicating that three transactions had been halted and instructed me to ring a certain number, which was simply a mobile one. Shortly after, I received another text claiming it was from NatWest concerning those transactions, urging me to contact the same number. Given that I don't have an account with NatWest, it’s leading me to suspect it’s a scam or perhaps they just dialled the wrong person.
