Do not answer this number. Someone said they were from Halifax’s fraud team, checking if we’d authorised two payments that didn’t exist. They kept us on hold, claiming they needed more details to look into these fake transactions. I had a feeling they were trying to access our bank account while we were talking. I called Halifax afterwards, and they had no record of those payments or any attempt to withdraw money from our account.
