3 monthsI was chatting with someone on MeetMe every day, then out of the blue they asked if I could help them with some stuff like changing passwords for Gmail and MeetMe. It felt a bit off. They kept promising to send me money - first £60, then £80, and finally £100 - into my bank, all while pretending to be an overweight bloke suffering from cancer? Honestly, that raised alarm bells. Then they asked me to set the passwords to something they wouldn’t know, supposedly to lock themselves out! It was all very strange, so I just blocked and reported them.
