Got a text saying Royal Mail couldn’t deliver a parcel, but I’m not expecting anything at all. Definitely a scam, be careful!

Got a text saying it was from Royal Mail, like an automated alert about paying to have my parcel sent again. Didn’t ring me or anything, just a message. I looked up my parcel on the real Royal Mail site and everything was all good, so this has to be some kind of phishing scam. Totally don’t click the link if you get anything like that!

I got a message from something saying Royal Mail, saying I owe £1.99 because my parcel had an underpayment. It sounds proper dodgy to me. It looked real enough at first glance, but I’m going to ring the sorting office nearby just to check if there’s actually a parcel waiting for me. I am expecting something so wanted to be sure before paying anything.
