I got a call from someone claiming to be an Amazon manager, saying I’d placed an order for an iPhone 40 costing £736. He kept pushing me to input some code from a text he sent, and things got tense when I asked him to confirm my Amazon account details and explain why my orders page showed no iPhone purchase. The person spoke perfect English but with a thick Indian Subcontinent accent. Tried calling the number back but it just didn’t connect. Pretty sure it was a dodgy scam. If a phone actually shows up tomorrow, then I’ll eat my words! :)
