1 yearAround 11.15 on 8th Jan 2025, our landline rang and my wife answered with a simple hello. A bloke with a British accent (could well have been a bot) told her there’d been a £500 withdrawal from our bank account. She quickly hung up, as we’re used to these scam calls trying to trick you into giving away your bank info or passwords. The call came from a mobile number, which seemed dodgy and not what you’d expect from an actual bank.
