I called about an emergency electrician after finding a service online with a Google green tick. When the guy arrived, he insisted on £260 up front in cash. He stayed for about an hour but ended up making my light fitting worse and left my electrics unsafe. Now when I turn a light on, it blows the fuse for everything connected. Worst part, there’s no phone number on the ad, only a button to call from your mobile, so you can’t even contact them directly afterwards. I’m stuck paying for the damage he caused after already giving my money. Proper frustrating.

Somebody rang asking to chat with my hubby, and I said unless they had a psychic on the line, they were out of luck since he died over a decade ago. They hung up straight away. But then they tried ringing me again, before I could block the number. This time they wanted to talk to me, so I asked if they'd managed to get hold of that psychic yet, then ended the call and blocked them for good.

Got a call from someone who claimed to be from UK Choice, sounded like she was Asian.

You could tell it was a call centre from all the noise in the background. The person on the line had an Asian accent and began with some chat about the weather being lovely or whatever. I told them to stop messing around and just say what they wanted. Then, they snapped back with a rude "F Off!" quite out of the blue.
