I recently stumbled across a video talking about investing in Bitcoin within the UK, which was supposedly backed by Elon Musk during a chat with a presenter from the BBC. He made the audacious claim that one could potentially rake in between £1000 and £5000 on a daily basis. However, I later found out that the speech was actually generated by AI. Intrigued by the prospects, I filled out a form to find out more about this opportunity, only to be met with a rather dodgy phone call. The caller was pressing for my personal details, including my bank account information, passport number, and driving licence. When I asked if they could email me the information instead, they outright refused. A bit of digging afterwards revealed that the numbers that had been continually harassing me were linked to various scams.
