I got a phone call saying you could pay bills without touching your wages. When I told them I’m on a pension, they just stuck to the same spiel about salary, which was odd. What really gave it away as a scam was when they said they’d never ask me to download stuff or give personal info - sounds exactly like the kind of thing scammers always say.
