The call kicked off with an automated message claiming it was from my bank, saying they’d stopped an international transaction of £600 from my account. I immediately thought it was dodgy since they never said which bank it was, and surely if it was legit, they’d say “this is your NatWest” or “your Lloyds” or something like that, not just a vague “your bank”. I just ended the call straight away. I worry that older people or those who aren’t so savvy might believe it and get fooled into staying on the line.
