Got a call from someone claiming to be from Citizens Advice, saying I owed money. He kept going on about how dumb I was for ignoring it. Really pushy and pretty rude too. I don’t owe anything and have no clue how they even got my phone number.

Got a call from some bloke with an Asian accent calling himself Gary Parker, claiming he was from a Government debt advice service. I told him he didn’t sound much like a Gary, haha. Then he started offering to show me his passport info. I asked for his company’s landline and some details to verify. He just went “Alright, alright, alright” and hung up on me. What a clown.

Beware of scams, do NOT pick up!!! Got a call on my mobile about 5 pm today from a lady with an Asian accent who already knew my name. When I asked who she was, she claimed she was from some Credit Investigation Department working with the government and wanted to discuss my debts. She also said the government would wipe all my debts clean. I told her I wasn’t interested but she kept pushing, so I just ended the call. How on earth did she get my private number and name? Really don’t like this one bit.

Some bloke with an Indian accent called my boyfriend, said he was from Citizens Advice. My fella told him I was in the shop and asked if he could hold on a couple of minutes. The guy just told him to "f#ck off" and slammed the phone down. This number keeps bugging me - thinking of giving him a taste of his own medicine about his debts. Some bloke rang saying he was from the 'Office of Fair Trading'. When I told him to take me off their list, he just said nope, he’d send my info to bailiffs who’d show up Monday. So yeah, brace yourself for bailiffs knocking on your door Monday. Then he just hung up suddenly with a 'f#ck off'! Lovely bloke, not. Blocked him straight away.

This number wouldn’t stop ringing, so I finally picked up. And wow, was I surprised. Turns out I have an uncle in Nigeria (never even heard of him before) who was a prince. AND HE’S GONE NOW! Guess what - I’m meant to inherit like half a billion quid. ROLLING IN IT!!!!! All I had to do was confirm my bank info and spill my mum’s maiden name to prove I’m related. First thing on my list with that kind of cash? Getting myself a Bengal Tiger.

Saved the number to my contacts then looked it up on WhatsApp, saw a photo of a bloke with a goatee. Decided to block it. Would recommend adding unknown numbers to your contacts and searching them on WhatsApp, Facebook, or even Google before answering.

Bloke with an Asian accent rang me, said he was from some 'Credit Investigation Unit' and wanted to assist with unsecured debts. I asked what debts he meant, he just said stuff like credit card debts. When I pressed for specifics, he snapped, "Don't be so f#####g smart. I'm f#####g hanging up now," then cut me off. Got a call from this number today around 4:45pm. The bloke on the phone sounded Asian and knew my full name, which freaked me out a bit. Got a call from a guy with an Asian accent saying he was from CAB. He kept saying I owed money and had taken out an IVA. Got really rude when I told him I was out doing my shopping and didn’t want to talk about personal stuff in public. Then he started threatening me, saying bailiffs were coming to my house and that I should sort my debts before buying food! He rung me another five times within five minutes. I’m definitely blocking this number now.

They said they were from the Citizens Advice Bureau and already knew my name, trying to chat about debts I don't have. My partner took the phone, told them to go do something ridiculous and travel instead, then sent a message telling the caller they were selling health insurance specifically for folks who make annoying cold calls. He also added a message saying any time spent answering calls or reading texts from that number would cost £1000 per hour or part of an hour, with a minimum of £1000. Not surprised, they never got back to us after that.

Got a call from an Asian guy with a thick accent. He said he was ringing from some credit dept and that there was a debt file just received about me. I asked who he was with, told him I never even had a credit card, so how could he have any details on me. Then out of nowhere he started shouting “F. Polish, I hate Polish” and cut me off, which was really odd cos I’m not even Polish or Russian. Instantly BLOCKED.

They knew my name and rang me about loan stuff and credit consolidation, but when I told them I didn’t owe anything, they started shouting loads of swear words. Then they tried to pretend it was me talking and asked if I was aware the call was being recorded.
