I picked up the phone and after a pause, a lady's voice came on with a recorded message, sounded totally automated. She didn’t bother to ask who I was or introduce herself. The message claimed there’d been dodgy activity on my debit card, something like £600 sent overseas without my say-so, and told me to press 1 if it was true. I didn’t press anything and just ended the call. Pretty clear this was a SCAM. I had a look at my bank account just to be sure, and there was definitely no problem at all!
