I got in touch with HMRC and they told me this is definitely a scam number. Best just to block and not answer. Seems like these scammers use mobile numbers almost matching the person they're ringing, just a couple of digits off from the actual phone number.

I picked up this number and got hit with a recorded message, sounded like a foreign accent, saying it was from the National Insurance people and that my NI number was at risk! I ended the call straight away and have blocked the number since.
