Someone rang me saying they were from a crime agency and warned my National Insurance number was about to be blocked because of some "illegal stuff" they claimed to have found. They told me to press "1" if I wanted to talk to an officer or I'd face arrest. I thought that sounded fishy right away. You can't actually suspend a NI number, simple as that. Also, real law enforcement wouldn’t give you a heads-up like that by phone or text. Watch out for these dodgy calls!
