Got a few texts today, about three of em, all from different UK mobile numbers, each had a link to some odd website. They all started with "(!) You have recieved a new voicemail:" which seemed a bit off. The links looked pretty dodgy and I wouldn’t click on them. Probably some scam going on.

Got a txt from this number on the 3rd July 2012 at 7:01 pm. The msg had a http:// link with horibuilding in it. I’ve gone and deleted it and blocked the number so they can’t bother me anymore. I’m located in Winscombe, Somerset.

If you get a text with a link, don’t tap it - it’s probably a phishing attempt trying to steal your bank info! If you receive weird or dodgy messages, just forward them to 7726. This short code is free, and your phone company can check where the message came from and stop it if it’s harmful.
