I just got a call from someone who sounded South African, saying they were from a company comparing mobile phone contracts. They were asking about my phone deal. Ended up blocking the number and reporting it straight away.

My phone popped up with a prompt asking why they were calling. The message showed up saying "hi, it's ******* *******", which happens to be my own name. I flagged it as spam then just deleted it. I'm pretty sure it's the same lad from yesterday - the number had a string of five eights in a row, which caught my eye. That call was from a guy named Alan who claimed my SIM needed renewing. I told him quite nicely to buzz off.
