Before reporting to 7726, I’d say just block and ignore this caller completely. These threats are nonsense, so don’t even get involved with them. Definitely report it though, but don’t waste your time engaging!

This kinda stuff can be pretty scary for some folks, but there's no need to panic. Make sure you send a text to 7726 with the threat and the number involved. You should also ring the police on 101 to report it straight away. It's not classed as Fraud, it's actually extortion, which is a criminal offence dealt with by local cops, not the national fraud squad. So yeah, definitely report it to 7726, but don’t forget to contact the police too.
