Got a text that looked like a scam. The website link seemed legit at first glance, but be careful! The message had a grammar mistake - it said "a unregistered" device, which gave it away.

Got a text supposedly from Halifax saying “a new login attempt was made from an unregistered device, if this wasnt you please contact us”. The message was full of spelling mistakes and looked dodgy. I gave the real Halifax customer service a ring and they told me it’s a scam. I’ve blocked the number now to be safe.

Got a message from this number saying halifax warning: someone tried to sign in from a device not registered. If you didn’t do that, apparently you should go to fJhalifax-payee-alerts{###} straight away. Bit suspicious if you ask me.
