Got a message claiming to be from Halifax, but it was obviously a scam. Honestly, I wouldn’t trust them anyway.

Got a call pretending to be from Halifax saying "there's been an attempt to pay from your account" - total scam trying to phish for info. They asked me to check out [#Jhalifax-securtyissue(###] on my phone, probably to steal banking details or something. The site didn’t even exist, but the domain is registered through Namecheap and flagged to their registrar. Not sure how they managed to get my mobile number, it's relatively new and with Virgin.

Got a call from 07888442259, someone pretending to be from Halifax. They said there was a payment tried from a new gadget and sent me a link to check if it wasn’t me. Thing is, I don’t even have a Halifax account. The link led to a site looking like Halifax’s online banking, asking for bank details and your password. Totally a phishing scam. If you do bank with Halifax, watch out, this one could be seriously risky.
