On Tuesday, the 17th of November, I got a text claiming it was from Halifax. It said something like, “a new payee was set up from a brand new device at 18:45. if that wasn’t you, check out [#/devicereview-protection{###]).” Thing is, I’ve never even dealt with Halifax before, so it felt really dodgy to me.

Got a suspicious message claiming Halifax added a new payee from some device at 6:45 pm. It told me to check out [#]devicereview-protection[###] if I hadn’t done it. Definitely smells like a phishing attempt to me.

Received a text supposedly from Halifax saying I needed to check my device security, included a link to devicereview-protection #4. Felt suspicious straight away. Definitely spam, don't click on it!
