I’ve just had a rather exhausting day at the hospital with my mum, and the moment we got home, the phone rang. We answered with a cheerful “hello,” but all we could hear was what sounded like someone crumpling paper on the other end. It was clear there were voices lingering in the background, yet despite our attempts to get a response-two more “hellos”-the callers seemed utterly disinterested and continued with their crumpling antics. We thought it best to let them carry on, considering it wasn't costing me a penny. Once we figure out who’s on the other end, they can expect quite the telling off!

I just spent a rather exhausting day at the hospital with my mother, and as soon as we got back home, the phone rang. We picked up and said hello, but it was just a rather odd shuffling sound on the other end, almost like someone crumpling paper. I could swear there were voices faintly in the background, hinting that someone was indeed there. We tried greeting them two more times, yet they couldn't be bothered to respond, carrying on with their incessant paper crumpling. I let them know to cut it out, as it doesn’t cost us a dime to track them down, and if we ever discover who they are, they might just end up regretting their little prank!
