I received the exact same message. It's best to steer clear of it altogether; simply delete the text and refrain from responding or engaging in any way! It’s clearly a scam.

On the 19th of September in 2009, I received a message that was word-for-word the same as the one I've just encountered. Throughout my life, I've been fortunate enough to steer clear of any mishaps that resulted in injuries. Clearly, we’re not being vigilant enough, as it seems like a classic case of a scam or an attempt to fish for personal details.

It appears that this number is linked to some dodgy phone scam. They’re saying you could be eligible for compensation from an accident and want you to respond with ‘yes’ or to text ‘STOP’ if you’re not interested. Looks suspiciously like a premium call scam. Best to steer clear of it!

On the 19th of September, 2009, we received a message that was exactly the same as one we had seen before. I should mention, though, that I have never experienced an accident that resulted in any injuries. We decided to disregard the message, as it was clearly a scam or phishing attempt to gather personal information.

They’ll inform you that you could be eligible for compensation related to an accident and ask you to reply YES or text STOP to decline. It’s probably one of those premium rate callbacks.
