I got a message on WhatsApp from someone pretending to be one of my kids. They said they switched phone providers and this was their new number. When I asked for a name, they couldn’t tell me. So, I just blocked the number.

Got a message on WhatsApp that looked like it was from my daughter, saying she switched phone companies and had a new number. Then she asked me to sort out a payment for a bill. It felt off, so I blocked the contact and also reported the incident to action fraud.
