Got a call from 07887 534991, with someone saying they were from the benefits department, which at first made me think it was an official gov agency. The way they spoke didn’t sound right, and when I asked more questions, they suddenly switched and said it was the benefits department instead. I pressed for a company name and they replied ‘Protect Life’ - to me, that sounded like some dodgy insurance scheme. Honestly, I would avoid this number, feels like they’re trying to trick you!
