Received a call from someone claiming to be from BT about my internet service. Honestly, he was chatting nonsense, and then he launched into a tirade of swearing that went on forever. I found it quite unsettling. How can they even get away with behaving like this? It’d be great if this number could be shut down or the individual charged with harassment!

A chap claiming to be from BT Openreach got in touch, saying my broadband connection was running rather slowly. He insisted I should hop on my laptop so he could offer assistance.

I picked up the phone to someone claiming to represent BT, insisting I switch on my computer so he could resolve some issue. When I informed him that I didn’t own either a computer or a laptop, he rudely asked, 'What’s your purpose in life?' before abruptly hanging up. It's incredibly frustrating to receive such calls, especially as a senior citizen. How on earth do they manage to evade consequences for this behaviour?
