I’ve had a rather concerning call from the number 07886246249. The voice on the line claimed that my national insurance number has been put on hold due to my supposed involvement in a fraud investigation, and warned of an impending arrest! They urged me to press 1 to connect with their ‘investigators’. This isn’t the first time I’ve encountered such a nuisance; I’ve received around three or four similar automated calls over the past six months from various numbers. It’s all quite unsettling, and I have no idea who’s behind these calls since they all seem to be pre-recorded messages.
