Received a call from 07887 486528 telling me they were about to charge £700 to the card linked with my Amazon account! Not sure of the exact phrasing, but sounded like they could just take it right after I answered. Seems dodgy to me since I figured they’d need me to enter some info first, but who can be sure these days. Anyway, I’ve gone ahead and updated all my passwords and removed my cards from the account, just to be safe.

Number was unfamiliar so I just let it ring out. They didn’t leave any voicemail or anything. Checked it on here afterwards and went ahead and blocked it, though not sure if it’ll help. 0/10.

Just got a message from the post office saying I owe £2.99 to get a parcel delivered. When did the post office start knowing our phone numbers and using mobiles to text? Seems a bit dodgy to me.

Avoid this place, it’s a total scam. They try to convince you to buy a digital Xbox code for £70, then want the key from you so they can redeem it themselves. I played along and wasted about 20 minutes pretending I’d actually bought it, just to see what they’d do next. They don’t ask for any personal info but push hard for you to make the purchase and give them the code afterwards. Proper dodgy.

These days, i get about 3 to 4 calls daily from all sorts of unknown numbers. I’ve stopped answering unless the number shows up as someone i know. Before deciding to pick up, i always look the number up here first. Big thanks to everyone for sharing info about these calls. Honestly, i’m thinking it might be time to switch my number since it’s getting way too annoying.

Got a ring from some dodgy call centre in India! These scammers keep trying different numbers. I've blocked all of them and made sure to report the lot to Action Fraud.

I have no idea who this could be, the number is totally unfamiliar and I don’t know anyone living near the location the call might be coming from.

I've had this number call me thrice now, even after I've made it abundantly clear that I'm not keen on participating in any surveys and have requested them to cease contacting me. It's quite perplexing! I'm not sure if this is some sort of scam or what, but they certainly seem unable to take a hint.

Got a call with no one speakin on the other end, was pretty weird.

I missed the call as they hung up just before I could pick up. When I attempted to ring it back, I was greeted by an automated voice stating that the number wasn't valid. Quite puzzling, really!
