Occasionally, they purport to be "Lorna," supposedly representing Police Scotland, but it's been verified that they're not affiliated with any legitimate UK police personnel. It's quite telling that "Lorna" tends to end the call abruptly when pressed for any concrete information about the company or when you bring up the Telephone Preference Service! Just a heads up, Police Scotland is in the loop about this fraudulent number!

I’ve come across this fraudulent mobile number being bandied about by a range of dodgy telemarketers, touting wares for everything from "Energy Awareness Scotland" to "Home Security", as well as "Solar Panel" and "Security Alarm Installations" services, among others. At times, the caller pretends to be "Lorna", claiming to represent Police Scotland, but it’s been outright established that there’s no link to any Police force in the UK. The moment you start probing for company information or even bring up the TPS, she promptly hangs up! It’s worth noting that Police Scotland are already on the radar of this bogus number!
