12 yearsI’ve fallen victim to a dodgy credit card scam masquerading as a mobile provider named "Yo Mobile". I was lured into an astonishingly appealing contract and, in a moment of weakness, handed over my credit card information. Fast forward two weeks-still no SIM card in sight, and then I noticed some eye-watering unauthorised charges on my credit card statement. I tried reaching out to them using the number they provided, but as soon as I mentioned I was a current customer, they simply disconnected the call! Thankfully, I contacted my bank and managed to get the fraudulent transactions reversed. After doing some digging, I found that they have no official UK website or substantial online presence, and a Companies House check revealed no trace of them operating in the UK. They might be operating from Canada, but that could be a ruse. Take heed and don’t let yourself be duped like I was!"
