The automated message said the payment was declined by my bank. Shortly after, I got a text from 07883307136 asking if I’d authorised a £10 payment from my Halifax card and wanted me to reply with ‘yes’ or ‘no’. The message had no Halifax branding or links whatsoever, so I didn’t respond.
