Yesterday, I got a call on my mobile from a man claiming to be a police officer with the Kenya Embassy here in London. He said something about me being connected to a school girl who was missing, accusing me of sending her money and that she’d disappeared. Then he demanded 20,000 Kenyan shilling to help her family find her. I asked for his badge number, the police station, and the case details, but he couldn’t provide any of that. Pretty obvious it was a scam in the end.
